Blue Angels

The Blue Angels were in Marietta today and a friend and I went to see them. Very scary at times and beautiful always, to see the flying of America's finest. The Navy can be proud of them.

The weather was chilly for this time of year and guess it was what the old folks call blackbery winter. The time when the blackberries are blooming. If the amount of bushes I saw today, in bloom, are any indication it will be a bumper crop for blackberries.

Sorry did not get any pictures of the flyers. If my two sons had taken that profession up I would have had to close my eyes and wish them well. They were such daredevils as it was. To see 6 planes flying, rolling, playing almost tag is scary and a wonder at the same time.

They flew so low we could almost say hello to the pilot, but the noise of the jets would have drowned out the HI you all.

Raining in Georgia

Gary Allan had a song a year or so ago with all the Songs about Rain and today the part about Georgia is true. It is a soft, soaking rain, just what we needed to enjoy and keep Jonesy from going out and visiting the neighborhood.

Rose is pouting today. She misses the children that visit her and she thinks they should come everyday. It would be nice to see them, but they have other things to do.

It is such a beautiful spring it has not been this nice or green since Mom passed away in 1970. That year the green seemed to be saying goodby to a fine lady. She was one of the best people I every knew. Always there to lend a hand. A would be doctor, if she had not been so poor in money. She used a lot of herbal medicine before it became fashoniable. If you had a family member that was having a baby, they called her. If someone passed away, she was one of the first to be called to help the family.

It seems most of my childhood was spent looking for her to come home. She worked at Bell Bomber plant during the war years and helped build the b29 plane. Right wing she was proud of the effort for the turblent times that she gave her part.

She was sick during the last four years of her life and when her time came she made a point to say goodbye to everything and everyone she could. The night she passed, she asked to go to the lake and watch the sunset and then she had a massive cerbal hemorage about 1030pm. Miss you Mom.

I was expecting Eric at the time and when he was born early, She would have been there but with the power of love for the grandchild she would not see, she came back and that is my ghost story. I woke up and saw her at the foot of the bed and Eric was asleep and not being scared, just at peace in seeing her look so much like Her early self, beautiful and shining. I asked what she wanted and she told me I came to see my grandchild. She has never appeared again but I have always felt she made it back for the special child.

Wyoming more trip pictures

This is one beautiful place. Wyoming is a scenic wonder in every part I have visited. As always when I am looking at the pictures I am ready to pack up my bags and go back.

I want to see Wyoming in all seasons, especially fall. I have seen a little bit of spring and no summer. I have seen the deserts and mountains and the animals that live there. The people are always friendly, except the best western clerk, still think she was from somewhere else.

The first trip I took I went thru a small town that discovered a new species of jackalope. A Jack Rabbit crossed with an anatlope. You see them everywhere these days especially in LongHorn Resturants.

The Waffle House has not made it there but I bet its on it way.

Looking forward to seeing more of the state later this year.

Coffee With Jonesy

Some times it seems that cat loves to have company when He goes outside. He will come in after going out 3 or 4 times until I fix a cup of coffee and join him on our broken cement patio.

He really loves it right after the grass is cut and he can see the squirrels and birds around the back yard feeder. He will be all relaxed and at ease and here comes the prey not aware of the lean, mean, hunting maching lying in wait.

After a few minutes I leave and let him have his pleasure of stalking the wild critters out back. When he misses me in and out he goes until I am sittng back in my green plastic chair watching the hero.

Hot Day in Georgia

It is the warmest day of the year in this area today, so thought it was time to do a few snow pictures to cool off.

Jonesy came in this morning with sap from some weird tree all over his back. Miss Rose goes out for 2 minutes and comes back in for the air conditioner.

I hope all of you enjoyed your week end. It was really nice. I met with part of my sister's family and relatives for a wonderful dinner and company.

Peace

Wyoming Be glad when I go back

Looking over the different maps and guides to the State of Wyoming, I realize how much I have seen and how much more I want to see.

The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park, Cody, Sheridan and Cheyenne are some of the highlights of the past visits. I seem to never get to relax more than a night or two in one place. It is so beautiful that I wonder how the people who rush thru the parks and museums ever get to enjoy the true beauty of this state.

I pulled over in a bypass so many times for cars or other vechiles riding my bumper which is a state law, do not hold up traffic. I saw grey wolves, deer, buffalo, water falls and even a chipmunk or two when I slowed down to enjoy the view.

Be glad when I can go back to see some more of it. You could take a life time to see only a 1/3 of the state.

Peace

Spring Hits Big Time

I lost Jonesy, could not find Him anywhere. We took the camera and really checked the area well.

The underground floor door was open still no JJ. We found the grey cat that visits us and Miss Rose. After looking and looking we gave up.

Last night about 630p He decided to come home no reason at all as to where he had been. But in looking for Him we found lots of beautiful stuff, so I will share it with you all.

Spring flowers. Cat in Jonesy favorite place and more flowers and then Miss Rose waiting for JJ to open the door.

Peace

Saturday Lazy Day

It is sure hard to get going when you have weather in the 70's and the sun is shining and the flowers and trees are starting to come out with all the different colors.

Even Jj decided it would be a good day to chase squirrels. Not the ground kind but the smart butt screaming, tree climbing variety. He stalked until the squirrel was in high grass and like the lion descendant, he is He took off after that fool squirrel and missed by milliseconds, thanks to a white poodle leading the tour of the yard.

The squirrel high tailed it up a little tree and griped for 30 minutes at Jonesy JJ for short. After a while Jonesy gave up and ended up sitting in my lap at the computer telling about the big one that got away.
